MARTA 2017

Marta is a complex amber wine made from Chinuri.

Grapes come from the small village of Lamiskana, 7 km from the winery.

Grapes were harvested the 8th of October, sorted, half-destemmed and put in Qvevri for maceration and fermentation during 2 months.

The wine has been racked to an old 350L oak barrel for ageing in order to gain complexity and texture.

The wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered with a minimal amount of So2.

Marta is definitely a Georgian wine but has Italian and Slovenian influences in the making which make it completely unique in Georgia.

Production : 460 bottles

Tasting notes

In the glass, a deep yellow color.

On the nose , the wine shows some earthy notes such as white truffles and humus with nuances of bergamote.

The mouth is textural, fresh and complex, lemons with dried apricots supported by hints of acacia honey.

Long and bright finish that highlights wine’s sapidity and soul.
