REVOIR UN PRINTEMPS 2018

A wink to the better days that come after winter, Revoir un printemps is a dry rose made from 50% Tsitska from Terjola, 30 % Chkhaveri from Badgati and 20% Aladasturi from Vartsikhe, all villages in Imereti.

Chkhaveri was harvest the 8th of september and fermented in Qvevri using a semi carbonic maceration for 2 weeks. 

Tsitska was harvest the 22nd of September and was direct pressed, fermentation took place in Qvevri and old French oak. 

Aladasturi was picked on the 4th of October and was direct pressed, fermentation took place in barrel.

The final blend was aged both in Qvevri and old oak barrel.

The wine was bottled unfined with a minimal amount of So2.

Qvevri went through a coarse filtration.

Tasting notes 

In the glass, a vivid pink color.

Nose is exotic with hints of melon and passion fruit with nuances of spices and flint.

The mouth is rich, fresh and complex. Grapefruit, pomegranate and white pepper are followed by a crisp finish and length.
